Training in Spider Land

Today, I felt well enough to try training with the team, starting at the beautiful University of Richmond campus - home of the Fighting Spiders. It was a cold morning for Virginia - 23 degrees at the end of training. Typical cold weather training once you get moving - your face feels raw, your hands are cold, but your torso is soaked in sweat.

It felt great to be outdoors moving along for five miles. I did a run walk combo, running the first mile and a half, and walking the rest except for two intervals of maybe 5 minutes each. My congestion is mostly gone, so breathing was easier. I have to get back into condition for longer distances, so it felt great to start that process and to feel pretty healthy again.
